Apple is no more an owner of iPad trademark in China. Yes, Apple lost the case in China, which was started in the December 2011 to get back the iPad trademark in China. Now Apple has applied again to get their trademark back in China. A Chinese company Proview owns the iPad trademark there, and they won the case.
Proview is also the owner of iPad trademark in the other countries like Taiwan and they sold the name to Apple, now Apple is challenging the itself as an owner of the trademark.
Apple is now facing difficulties in China, because Proview is about to sue Apple for using their name in China.
